Andrea Hausmann
Photographer
Before starting her studio, Andrea Hausmann studied fashion communications, design and photography. Her early work in portraiture was inspired by the vintage aesthetic of her favorite films. With local burlesque performers as muses she created a richer, more multi-faceted expression of sexuality than that found in most men’s magazines. Andrea Hausmann’s photos are both timeless and enduring and she continues to expand her artistic boundaries through collaboration with a long list of hair stylists, make-up artists, body artists and stylists.
In the privacy of her studio she maintains the client’s comfort level and is better able to achieve their desired outcomes. The luxury and comfort of the photoshoot experience is especially important, as she wants to make people feel just as great as they look. Andrea loves the transformation she sees the women go through and the confidence they start to express after just a short time at the studio.
Andrea’s portraits and nudes have been part of various exhibits including Blizzarts’ “It Takes Two” April 2009, “ARTundressed” August 2008 and the International Toronto Burlesque Festival, July 2008. Andrea has worked with Monde Ose, creating images and posters for various themed parties including the internationally renowned Bal Erotique 2008. She has also worked with leather company Bod & Christensen.
Andrea’s work has been displayed throughout the city; enticing people to shows and events in Montreal. Her poster for the play Hedda Gabler drew the likes of director Denys Arcand and John Cusack to the Mainline theatre performance. Andrea has created a multitude of posters for events and burlesque shows in Montreal.
Jill Keech
Studio Manager/Hair Stylist
Originally fom Edmonton, Alberta, Jill Keech now resides in Montreal and is enamoured with the city. Always having a flare for the arts and creativity, she expresses her artistic interest through dance, hairstyling and photography.
After completing her University degree at the University of Alberta with a Clothing and Textiles major, she decided to pursue one of her passions, photography. She went on to complete a three year photography program at Dawson College and loves being involved in the photography world both at the studio, and creating her own fine art photography.
Feeling inspired everyday in such a creative environment, Jill feels fortunate that she is involved in one of her other passions, that being hairstyling. Loving everything vintage, it is very satisfying for her to re-create hairstyles from the 1920s until today. She also is looking forward to working with such an inventive photographer as Andrea. Jill embraces femininity, beauty, sexiness and loves just being a part of empowering women.
Christelle Souverbie
Make-up Artist
Christelle Souverbie was born in France on June 9th, 1985 and raised by an artistic family. As a child she quickly developed an interest for visual arts. Art being her biggest passion she decided to study Visual Arts at Cégep du Vieux Montréal, then as she grew more knowlegable she decided to study History of Art and Visual Arts at UQÀM university.
Half-way through her studies Christelle realized that the artistic field she has been evolving in for so many years was now inappropriate. Her interest in beauty, fashion and make-up being as strong as the one she had for art, she decided to give it a try. Effectively, all her doubts vanished on her first day of class. A few months later she followed her heart and achieved with honors a diploma in Artistic make-up at College Inter-Dec.
So it is with precise brush strokes, imaginative work of colors and textures and a unique understanding of lights and shadows that she approaches every new face. Now more determined then ever to have a career that reaches as high as her passion, Christelle spreads her talent to every possible sphere of the job and to every possible corner of the globe for one purpose and one purpose only: to make every woman feel comfortable with their seductive power.
